We met on the Finch trail in 2021. Honestly it was Misty and Momo who introduced us. They decided they were friends before we did, so we ended up walking the same loop together most evenings.

Five years, two dogs, and a lot of walks later, here we are.

10am onwards

Haldi

Turmeric and marigolds. Wear something you genuinely don't mind getting yellow.

6pm onwards

The Wedding

Ceremony, then dinner, dancing, the whole thing.

The City

Fly into CCU, that's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International. About 45 minutes from the venue. December is genuinely the best time to be in Kolkata. Around 25 degrees during the day and cool in the evenings.

While you're here

  • New Market Victorian covered arcade from 1874. Spices, fabric, tailors, cheese, everything under one roof.
  • Gariahat Market Open-air bazaar for handloom sarees, kantha quilts, and cotton fabric. The prices on the label are a starting point.
  • Dakshinapan A circle of state emporiums, one for every corner of India. Handicrafts, textiles, and things you won't find anywhere else.
  • Park Street The strip that doesn't quite sleep. Old bakeries, good restaurants, colonial facades.
  • Prinsep Ghat The Hooghly at dusk. Ferries crossing, bridges lit up, people just sitting. One of the quieter beautiful things about this city.
  • Victoria Memorial White marble, 1921. The gardens at dusk are better than the museum.

Will you be there?
